Journalist Protection Act should be implemented soon - Seraj Ahmad Quraishi

 Under the aegis of Indian Journalist Association Kanpur Nagar, a Journalist conference and award ceremony were held.

 On the arrival of Seraj Ahmad Quraishi of International Association of Journalists, who raised their voice for the interests of journalists, the office bearers/members of the organization gave a grand welcome to their president.

 On the arrival of the international president of the institution, District President Kanpur unit Muqeem Quraishi organized a program in honor of the chief guest at Murtuja Public School, Colonelganj, in which the international president of the institution, Seraj Ahmad Quraishi was the chief guest.

 The chief guest gave membership of the organization to the new members Pankaj Awasthi, Vishal Saini.

 Addressing the journalists in the program, the chief guest said, today there are attacks on journalists all over the country which is condemnable, he demanded from the government to make a journalist protection law as soon as possible, he also said that today the harassment of journalists is at its peak.  But it has been reached, if any incident happens to the journalist, then his own organization is the first to get away from it.

 He said that in such a situation, the Indian Journalist Association is working as the voice of journalists, and is always ready to fight the battle for justice to journalists.  The Central Government should implement the Journalist Protection Act soon.

 The chief guest was honored with a shawl by district patrons, senior journalist Ejaz Siddiqui, Ashwani Dixit, Ajay Patrakar. The program was conducted by District General Secretary Hafeez Ahmad Khan.
