Bihar government should implement Journalist Protection Act immediately - Narendra Kumar Singh

The meeting of Vaishali district organization of Indian Journalist Association was held in the residential premises of journalist Sanjeev Kumar located in Digghi Kala East Hajipur. The district president of the organization, Narendra Kumar Singh presided. During this, the issue of development of the organization and security of journalists were discussed. Describing the incidents happening with the journalists as unfortunate, the officials demanded from the government that the Bihar government should immediately implement the Journalist Protection Act and direct the local police administration to give security to the journalists. During the meeting, two minutes silence was prayed for the peace of the soul of Prashant Kishor, a journalist from Begusarai, who was recently murdered. During this, the District President of the organization, Narendra Kumar Singh demanded the immediate arrest of the killers of late Prashant Kishor, compensation of 25 lakh to his dependent and a government job to a family member.
In the meeting mainly Kaushal Kishore Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Prakash Chandra, Chandrashekhar Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Narottam Kumar, Ajit Kumar alias Pawandev Yadav, Bhikhari Singh, Rahul Kumar etc. Dozens of journalists were involved.
