West Bengal government should implement Journalist Protection Law soon- Debashish Chatterjee
Kolkata, West Bengal. An essential meeting of the Indian Journalist Association West Bengal Unit was held at the State Office 18 / H / 7, Michael Street, Kheedarpur, Kolkata. The meeting was chaired by state president Debashish Chatterjee and moderation Karan Singh. Various problems of media personnel were discussed in the meeting. Discussions were held on the interests of journalists. Addressing the meeting, State President Debashish Chatterjee said that attacks and killings on journalists are happening, West Bengal should implement the Journalist Protection Act soon, so that no one dares to harass journalists. Mr. Chatterjee further said that the Indian Journalist Association is always ready to protect the rights of journalists. The association will connect with the journalists organization by running a large membership campaign in West Bengal.
